Who we are

Wide angle Creations is a partnership firm formed with the idea to produce/ execute feature films and allied businesses in the year 2006.

He management of Wide Angle Creations rests with Suresh Balaje and George Pius. Both partners have varied experience in the business of film production, advertisement films and TV serials.

Wide angle has developed a very good team of professionals to take up at short notice projects that are economically and commercially viable, with total transparency in day to day operations. The team has a hands on approach to production activities and is known for excellent reporting systems and co-ordination.

Suresh Balaje

Born into a family with a Film background, son of Actor / Producer, K. Balaje, started off as a Production Executive in the family owned Production House and subsequently produced 12 feature films in Tamil, Malayalam & Hindi languages till date.

Currently engaged in the production of Feature Films, Advertisement commercials and Corporate Films for various Companies including the Tata Group, Godrej Saralee, Reliance Infocom Limited etc.

Owning a Rental House (called Sujatha International) for Cinematographic Equipment for Film shooting purposes and also a Sound Recording Studio for Post Production work in films.

Also worked as Line Producer on the Indo-French Co-Production, "Vaanaprastham", which was presented at the Cannes Fetsival in France and winner of two National Awards.

Worked as Line Producer for Pranavam Arts & Pranavam International for "Kaala Paani", "Mithunam" and "Harikrishnans". "Kaala Paani" is a critically acclaimed film which won 6 National Awards and 7 State Awards.

Worked as Line Producer for the Hindi Feature Films "Phir Milenge" directed by Award winning Actress Revathi, "Malamaal Weekly" and "Chupke Chupke " both directed by Priyadarshan.

George Pius Tharayil

Born into a well known Syrian Christian family of South Kerala, George's father Mr T Pius Joseph retired as a celebrated officer of the Indian Railways and started the family owned Pimar Group of companies. George after his Masters went on to work in the aquaculture field for a couple of years before returning to the family business and is currently involved as Director of the Pimar Group, which is into Railway contracts, aquaculture and allied business.

George joined Telephoto Entertainments Ltd, a public limited entertainment company, as the Chief Executive Officer in June 2002. Had been responsible for liaison with various production companies and television channels, budgeting and planning the fund flow, coordinating the various production activities, office management, dealing with various clients using dubbing and editing facilities, follow up on payments, assessment of progress of work, and oversee the day to day management of the company.

As CEO, has handled these films as Line Producer and looked after the day-to-day matters relating to the complete production of these films. The first two mentioned above were made for Percept Picture Co and the last one for UTV Motion Pictures Ltd.

George also worked as the Executive Producer on a feature film titled MITR-MY FRIEND. This film was shot entirely in San Francisco, USA from December 2000 to February 2001. The film was released in February 2002 both in India and USA and has won three national awards in India.
